Pakistan was devastated by the most destructive earthquake of its history on the morning of 8th October 2005.

The determined and enthusiastic volunteers of Himmat Trust have always been in the forefront in activities of welfare, provision of health facilities and spread of literacy and mutual harmony not only in peace time but also in disaster and natural calamities.

Settlement

All the students of the school are given free books, bags, stationary and uniforms. • Every year the Trust honors the outstanding students with certificates and prizes.

Every year on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Himmat Trust arranges 'Ijtemai Qurbani' with the cooperation of financially able people to include the needy and homeless people in the joys of Eid.

After the relief and rehabilitation activities another survey is made to make an exact estimate for settlement and revival of routine life of the affected people.

Clean Water

The earthquake left life crippled in the areas of KPK Province and Azad Kashmir and left a permanent mark in the minds of its people.

Himmat Trust has established a handicrafts centre in a building adjacent to Al-Ilm School in Shamshtu to provide practical training to girls and women.

The project of providing clean drinking water to the far off places, villages, settlements and disaster struck areas and encampments at the outskirts of Lahore.
